Georgetown Football Club

We are Georgetown’s premier elite youth soccer organization. GFC offers recreational and travel soccer programs for players from 4U through 19U. GFC’s player retention rate is extremely high, and that’s something for which we are proud. We are driven as an organization to develop passionate, disciplined, and hard-working global citizens. We have a mandate to develop socially conscious individuals who will model our core values in their everyday lives.

Recreational soccer is about one thing: FUN! We want our players to learn the game of soccer in a fun and safe environment. We equip our volunteer coaches with age-appropriate activities that help their players on game day.

Woodford Youth Soccer League

WYSA was started in the late 80’s during the high school off-season (spring).  They formed 2 “Select” teams to play games and continue training and developing their skills. Since then WYSA has over 50 Recreational teams playing at the WYSA Soccer Complex in Versailles and we also host the Kings Hammer Bluegrasss Select team and Academy.

WYSA has players in ages from 3 through to 19 not only from Woodford, but many surrounding counties too.  We hold Spring and Fall seasons, so why not come and see us and our facility.  If your not in a team yet, then check our Calendar and see when games or Tournaments are being played and come and see for yourself.

WYSA is proud of our facility which consists of:

  • soccer fields on 30 acres open 7 days a week, weather permitting
  • concession stand – Run and manned by WYSA Members
  • WYSA board facility building;
  • Air conditioned restrooms open on match days;
  • Ample Parking;
  • In a great location, just off U.S. 60 in Versailles.

Lexington Youth Soccer League

The Lexington Youth Soccer Association was incorporated in 1977 to promote “the growth and appreciation for the game of soccer by providing opportunities for youth to learn and participate in organized programs of soccer.” LYSA is a volunteer self-supporting organization run by the player’s parents.  LYSA is a member of Kentucky Youth Soccer Association (KYSA) and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA).In 1988, LYSA reached an agreement with the City of Lexington to develop a soccer complex at Masterson Station Park. It has conducted much of their recreational program at Masterson since. Its U5 and U6 programs are conducted at the Kentucky Farm Bureau field on Leestown Road, and it also has use of parks land off Berea Road near the Legacy Trail.

Our Rec league offers teams in all age groups from 4U-18U.  It’s a wonderful league to begin playing soccer.  It’s the league for those who have never played and for those that have played for years, just because they love the sport.
